Photoshop Final Project
This assignment was a photoshop final project assignment. The basis of this assignment was to create three pages for a mock website. Some tools I used in photoshop to create these mock pages were the shapes, text, layer masks, artboards, and many more. I also was able to learn about brand guidelines and how that has a huge effect on website and brand design. The page displayed below is the home page I designed.
Stylized Icons Assignment
This assignment was a stylized icons assignment. The basis of this assignment was to create a set of icons from scratch in Adobe Illustrator. Some tools I used where the shapes and shape builder tools. I also got to play around with different colors and how they worked with each other.
Podcast Assignment
This assignment was a podcast assignment, where the basis of the assignment was to create a podcast cover. Multiple podcast covers were designed, in order to fit some of the requirements of different platforms like Spotify. This assignment was designed in photoshop, and some tools I used were clipping masks, photo filters, adjustment layers, and the use of a color palette that worked well with one another.
Magazine Cover Assignment
This assignment was a magazine cover assignment, where the basis of the assignment was to create a magazine cover for a made up publication. I decided to take inspiration from numerous sports magazine covers, including ESPN and SLAM. This assignment was designed in photoshop, and some tools I used were gradients, text, and the use of a color palette that worked well with the main cover photo.
Movie Poster Assignment
This assignment was a movie poster assignment, where the basis of the assignment was to create a movie cover for a made up movie. I decided to take a sports spin on a movie cover, as the main character of my movie is NBA superstar, Stephen Curry. This assignment was designed in photoshop, and some tools I used were layer masks, clipping masks, and adjustment layers to make my layers' colors pop.
Cursive Signature Video Assignment
This assignment was a video assignment, where the basis of the assignment was to create a video where my signature displayed over stock footage. This assignment was created in after effects and illustrator, and was a nice change of pace from photoshop. Some tools I used were trim paths, keyframes, and the pen tool in illustrator.
InDesign Final Project
This assignment was a final assignment for InDesign, where the basis of the assignment was to create a magazine layout of a story. The story is from a story I wrote for a previous class at Cronkite, about Seton Catholic Girls Basketball head coach, Karen Self. This assignment was designed in InDesign, and some tools I used were paragraph styles, fonts, and text wrap.
Business Card Assignment
This assignment was a business card assignment where the basis of the assignment was to create a business card for ourselves. I decided to take inspiration from different business card designs from resources like Pinterest. This assignment was designed in InDesign, and some tools I used were fonts, hyperlinks, and the QR code tool.
Illustrator Final Project
This assignment was a final project for Adobe Illustrator, where the basis of the assignment was to create an infographic. I decided to take a sports spin on the infographic, as I highlighted the career accomplishments of Buster Posey. This assignment was designed in Illustrator, and some tools I used were shapes, shape builder, fonts, and graphs.
Resume Assignment
This assignment was a resume building assignment, where the basis of the assignment was to create a resume. I decided to take inspiration from different resume designs and templates, from resources like Pinterest and Behance. This assignment was designed in InDesign, and some tools I used were fonts, shapes, and the utilization of spacing within different elements.
Creating a Logo Assignment
This assignment was a logo creation assignment where the basis of the assignment was to create a logo for ourselves. I decided to use my initials as the main subject of my logo (AC). This assignment was designed in Illustrator, and some tools I used were fonts, shapes, and the shape builder tool.
Flat Design Assignment
This assignment was a flat design assignment where the basis of the assignment was to create a design in Adobe Illustrator. I decided to take inspiration from different designs that were given as examples, and decided to use a camping theme. This assignment was designed in Illustrator, and some tools I used were shapes, shape builder, and the utilization of different color schemes to fit a theme.
Typography Poster Assignment
This assignment was a typography poster assignment where the basis of the assignment was to create a poster where the main elements were built off of text. I decided to take inspiration from different poster designs from resources like Pinterest. This assignment was designed in photoshop, and some tools I used were fonts, and different color schemes to fit the poster.
Social Media Artboards Assignment
This assignment was a social media artboards assignment, where the basis of the assignment was to create multiple artboards for a social media campaign. I decided to take a sports spin on this assignment, as I focused my campaign on sending De'Aaron Fox to the all-star game, with the campaign being run by the Sacramento Kings. This assignment was designed in Photoshop, and some tools I used were fonts, artboards, and the gradient tool.
